Met Office - ISMAR: Cranfield Aerospace Ltd awarded contract

Cranfield Aerospace Ltd has been awarded a contract by the Met Office to cover the design, manufacture and certification for the ISMAR Instrument for the BAE 146 Atmospheric Research Aircraft.

This contract will enable Cranfield Aerospace Ltd to use their rapid proto-typing and turnkey solution available through the Part 21 G and Part J approved organisations to design, manufacture and certify both the ISMAR instrument and new outer fairing on to the FAAM, BAE 146, Aircraft.  (www.faam.ac.uk)

The programme will be completed in time for the required roll change of the aircraft in early 2010.
