David Gardner

Managing Director

David Gardner has been deeply involved in the development of the military and civil aerospace business since the completion of his apprenticeship with Rolls Royce Aero Engines in the 1970's. In his career he has held a number of roles at senior level in major parts of the industry including Rolls Royce Aero Engines, Lucas Aerospace (now Goodrich Aerospace), and in his 30's and 40's spent a number of years developing new markets in both the United States and Asia Pacific including the establishment of new factory facilities in China and Indonesia.

David Gardner brings to Cranfield significant industrial experience based on his strong technical background and ability to exploit technologies in domestic and overseas markets.

David was made a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society in 1994 for his contribution to the A330 and A340 Airbus programmes and he is married with five children, and lives in Buckinghamshire, England.
